Phunnel Modification

Recommended Posts

The pics are pretty self explanatory, but here's the phunnel modification I did for jon bon, I'm still getting the center piece down but it's no biggie ... I just don't wanna freeze outside in the snow. I cut it with a diamond blade wet saw. I'd say it effectively holds less, I haven't actually smoked it as it's not my bowl. I may take it down a little further but I doubt it.

ohmy.gif That phunnel bowl looks circumcised!! From the pics, it looks like a pretty clean cut. When are you sending the bowl to jon bon?

Was gonna send it today but I don't feel like driving in the snow if I don't have to, so probably tomorrow if I can get it out before class.

Edit: Also forgot to add..

may i ask why?

Cause jon was in chat trying to sand it by hand and I offered some assistance.

wait, that was done to hold less? how much less could it possibly be. looks very insignificant. personally i dont like the idea of removing the whole glazed end. good cut though

I packed to test it out and around 5-10g less for the most part but I can't really be precise without a scale.

Like I said if jon wants it taken down further I'll cut it again.. if not no biggie.. it's up to jon, he's trying to go for 45min sessions I think without wasting a lot.

Looks soooooo good. Scoop, I ordered a small phunnel and it's diameter was 2.75 but the depth was too big. I was getting tired of wasting shisha and using a scalli mod so hobbs offered to help me out.

By the way, hobbs is a great guy. I'll leave it at that as a full review on his kindness is probably more appropriate for his trader feedback.

Glaze seals the clay in, from what ive heard...
I wouldnt smoke it without glaze.

Mya bowls are unglazed on the bowl part. Not a problem - just a matter of preference.

The part where the coals are?

The inside I believe is where he's referring...I was also talking about glazing over any Paint, otherwise that paint is going to just blister / peel, potentially giving off lovely fumes biggrin.gif
